Research you can trace. Checks you can discuss.

The Lab uses public Master B2B research to help you review your own practices. GS1 guidance adds detail on product data. These are research-informed assessments, without predictive validation, representative rankings or personal review by Brian and Andy.

What is saved and shared

Unlocking saves contact details, consent and a versioned summary with check and evidence IDs in the existing submission record. It does not create a research dataset. Public links show the checks selected for discussion, without the sender’s answers, decision text or system names. Earlier links show a legacy notice and a way to run the revised tool.

Question-to-source map

These are our editorial checks, informed by the cited work. They are not validated survey items. The original report’s scale and stages are not applied to this shorter form.

For a digital initiative, do the involved teams agree who can resolve conflicting priorities?

Ask the involved teams to name the decision owner and how a disagreement gets resolved. Shared delivery can still have clear accountability.

After a change, do you check whether the intended customer task became easier?

Agree what improvement would look like for one customer task, then compare feedback and task outcomes before and after the change.

Decision and system review rules

Decision and delivery ownership

Who can resolve disagreements, and who will operate the result? Walk through a disagreement and a post-launch incident with the people expected to own them.

In Stack Autopsy, two names in a function prompt questions about scope and discrepancy handling. Shared or unspecified ownership prompts an accountability question. Answers are shown explicitly; neither pattern establishes a problem. Product-data checks use GS1 guidance; other handoff questions adapt Master B2B’s technology and team dimensions.

Changes from the prototype

We removed the four-number readiness score, arbitrary bands, generated peer medians, small-cohort comparisons, stack risk meters and threshold-based labels. Historical records remain intact. Extra articles about the same study are not counted as independent evidence.
